Chairman of the Board

Alasdair Kinnaird-Rowe chairs the board of Kestermoor Energy Services Limited. He has led the board since 2016, four years after the company was founded, and oversees strategy, risk and the governance that holds the group to the same standard in Accra, Aberdeen and every field base.

He has chaired the boards of an international operator's regional subsidiary and a North Sea drilling contractor, and he sits on Kestermoor's audit and HSE committees.

He is known for asking plain questions about safety culture and cash before anything else. He splits his time between Aberdeen and the board's quarterly meetings in Accra.

Eleanor Strachwell joined the board as an independent Non-Executive Director in 2019 and chairs its audit and risk committee. She provides the external challenge that a growing company working in several jurisdictions needs, particularly on financial controls, anti-bribery compliance and supplier due diligence.

At Kestermoor she reviews the half-year accounts with the Head of Finance, sits in on the annual ISO 9001 management review, and visits a field base each year to see how the controls work in practice.
